She said to me, “have you ever asked your body what this is about?”
I never asked in that way before. I had asked in order to fix the problem, and with desperation and frustration.
So I asked.
I asked with curiosity and patience.
I asked with expectation of an answer, but also to simply let the question be part of the sequence, to let it be part of my experience of being fully human.
I stopped expecting things to show up in certain ways. I let go of expectation or anticipation of what it has been like. My curriculum is to be present.
“I am here in this body, I am home."
I stopped over identifying with my feelings or experience in any given moment, because everything changes. The healing is in the noticing.
I stopped striving to figure it all out. I got present with each question, thought, or curiosity.
And I realize the miracle in this — the healing.
Observe.
Notice.
Bring presence to something that was stuck, so it feels the grace to flow on.
And the wise woman in me says “Stop grasping and like water, let if flow on and pass through. Be the observer. That’s all you have to do.”
