I have just a few words to share, photos from the last couple weeks, a poem, and a video of the bees ecstatic over the azalea.
Imagine an April walk through Forest & Flowers Retreat in Pennsylvania together, and the sight of violets spread across the ground. Notice the aromas meeting your senses when your face is buried in a fresh tulip or daffodil (they just don’t smell this way from the grocery store). May you be touched by the beauty of life emerging where you are.
“What is the heart? A flower opening.”
-Rumi
"Go to your fields and your gardens, and you shall learn that it is the pleasure of the bee to gather honey of the flower,
But it is also the pleasure of the flower to yield its honey to the bee.
For to the bee a flower is a fountain of life,
And to the flower a bee is a messenger of love,
And to both, bee and flower, the giving and the receiving of pleasure is a need and an ecstasy."
~ from ‘On Pleasure’ by Kahlil Gibran
How much pleasure are you allowing yourself to receive?
