Sharing an excerpt here from my personal journal, a place in which the words often land as the voice of my whole self - of unconditional presence - of the divine energy in all that is.
This entry arose from my healing journey with migraine, which has been like a long wintering experience that’s lasted years. It’s led me to deep inquiry, research, experimenting, and so many questions. I’ve come to believe that our bodies are always intelligently adapting, just like nature, in an innate orientation towards healing.
I don’t share from a place of offering answers, but of inviting curiosity. This journey of mine is in progress. I continue to listen, feeling a deepening respect for my body, nature, and the elements offered to support us physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
If you notice your own experience reflected in the words below, may you find the medicine you are seeking within you.
an excerpt from my journal
Consider the wisdom in not getting what you want… it keeps you seeking solutions and fixes, a disconnected perception of wholeness, while repeating challenging and subconscious patterns of pain that are seemingly safe because they’re predictable.
This protective act is primal. Look for threats and fight, flight, or freeze in response. Useful for survival, but often repeated without repair.
Integration happens as these fragmented parts move, as naturally as trees let go of leaves.
Nature doesn’t get stuck in cycles because there is no judgment imposed as Autumn offers the resources for Winter, and Winter hibernates into Spring.
Neither empty branches nor blooming flowers are “good” or “bad.” They just are. And so are we. Just be.
Be with this alchemy. Does the Oak feel empty and exposed when it lets go of leaves, or does it feel the pure potential of new beginnings as it lays these gifts down to the soil? Honor the becoming.
Try this on. You are not here to heal to be fixed. You are here to heal to be whole.
When you welcome all parts to have a place in the circle, each leaf lets go, and each flower on the petal that has bloomed is received as an offering. A beautiful mandala forms.
Step into the current of this spiral and weave yourself to new places, to new acceptance.
Not for the next layer to be fixed, but for all the pieces you are witnessing, integrating, and allowing just as they are. With love. Surrender.
